DDR4 and DDR5 are two generations of DDR SDRAM (Synchronous Dynamic Random-Access Memory). DDR5 is the newer, faster option. It offers significant improvements in data transfer speeds, capacity, and efficiency. DDR5 can theoretically reach speeds of up to 8400 MT/s, compared to DDR4's maximum of 3200 MT/s. Additionally, DDR5 modules can hold more memory, with some reaching 128 GB per module.
